Milngavie Town Centre: A Vision for the Community
Page\Park Architects

Milngavie's Town Centre as now designated, has its own special character and unique features. Besides the pedestrian precinct with its central square, it now includes the riverside with its medieval mill and fish ladder.

Page\Park have created an outline design framework (less detailed than a masterplan) which builds on these qualities, following Scottish Government Policy. » A framework such as this is needed to guide development in the future, so as to improve Milngavie as an attractive and vibrant place.

We hope Page\Park's 'Vision' will be a starting point to set the whole community thinking about how we who live here can plan for the future of our town, for the benefit of existing residents, traders and visitors and for future generations.

Please help us develop a vision for Milngavie.

What would YOU like for Milngavie Town Centre
in the future?

Can its ambience be improved?

Should more be made of the Allander Water?

Are there speciality shops you would particularly like to see?

What, apart from shopping, should the centre be used for?

How can the vitality of the centre be maintained despite increased competition from internet shopping and out-of-centre stores?

Please send us your ideas, and tell us what you like or dislike about Page\Park's design framework.
